J&D Wilkie Ltd is a privately owned global technical textile manufacturing company with head office based in Scotland. With over 140 years experience J&D Wilkie takes pride in their ability to quickly adapt and implement the necessary changes in both technology and manufacturing processes, to meet their changing customer and market requirements.
All J&D Wilkie manufacturing sites are optimised so that we have the flexibility to respond to our customers needs irrespective of their global geographic location. J&D Wilkie have their head office based in Scotland, but also benefit from a fully owned manufacturing site in China capable of producing "European quality at Chinese prices".
When looking at new opportunities, J&D Wilkie has the benefit of being able to pull knowledge & expertise from its own group capable of covering- textiles, composites, medical and engineering product combinations. Jack Ellis, established in 1994, specialises in the design and manufacture of Ballistic & Stab resistant body armour.
With our facility in Scotland UK, Jack Ellis is a major player in the personal protection market with a growing and enviable base of "blue chip" clients including - UK and Foreign government organisations, special forces, police, prisons, private security and media.
Jack Ellis specialises in working closely with clients to match armour solutions to operating requirements. The company is accredited to both ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001.
Jack Ellis carry out R&D and testing in house as well as having all armour solutions accredited by the relevant government bodies.
